The Vodouisant Twist Empty The Vodouisant Twist

Post by Bondye Mon Jun 03, 2013 10:00 pm

*This twist was conceived to promote being active. Prove me wrong if you dare, but I doubt anyone can win this game without being either a social or a challenge whore.*

The Vodouisant Twist

Vodouisant practice Vodou and when we think of Voodoo, I will assume we all this this;

The Vodouisant Twist 91ewsk

Don't worry I will not get too technical with the religion of Vodou and will generally stick to the doll with pins and needles Very Happy

Vodouisants believe in a distant and unknowable creator god, Bondye and Bondye will play a big part in this game. Before each immunity challenge, Bondye will give one of you a chance to gain Lao powers. You will gain Bondye's trust by winning his challenge and then reap the rewards of The Lao.

The Vodouisants challenge: It will be a short challenge before each immunity challenge up until and including final 5. These challenges are meant to be quick so punctuality is of essence as they normally don't go on for more than 10-15 minutes. I ask that anyone participating in these challenge stay logged on and active after submitting answers. Decisions have to be made by the winner before we can start immunity and normally (the normallys here are because we did something similar with Survivor 47 Alcatraz), immunity started 10-15 minutes after this challenge ended. We don't want to take up all night doing challenges so we strive for ~Rapido Presto~.

The Lao Powers: Let me shed a bit of light on what is a Lao

Laos are the spirits of Haitian Vodou. They are also referred to as Mystères and the Invisibles, in which are intermediaries between Bondye (Bon Dieu, or good god)—the Creator, who is distant from the world—and humanity. Unlike saints or angels however, they are not simply prayed to, they are served. They are each distinct beings with their own personal likes and dislikes, distinct sacred rhythms, songs, dances, ritual symbols, and special modes of service. Contrary to popular belief, the loa are not deities in and of themselves; they are intermediaries for a distant Bondye.

Once you win the challenge and are given the Lao power, you take massive control over the game and you can do so in many ways. One of us will give you an ultimate choice, each with pros and cons. You will have mere minutes to pick how you control the game for that round and who it will affect. We give you a voodoo doll with a few needles, each needle has it's own power and you pick how you poke.

The powers offered will not change each time but you have to win one to see what they are. People who win are free to share the information with whom they want but the winner will never be revealed publicly.

You have 15 minutes to decide your Lao Power.

I should also point out that if you win the challenge and fail to pick within 15 minutes, no one will have Lao Power for the round and you will have a penalty vote at TC if your tribe ends up there in the same round.

***I assure everyone that confessionals will always remain private.***

Any questions?

I don't know anything about voodoo, but I'm sure it's nothing compared to Vietnam.
