The Vodouisant Twist Empty The Vodouisant Twist

*This twist was conceived to promote being active. Prove me wrong if you dare, but I doubt anyone can win this game without being either a social or a challenge whore.*

The Vodouisant Twist

Vodouisant practice Vodou and when we think of Voodoo, I will assume we all this this;

The Vodouisant Twist 91ewsk

Don't worry I will not get too technical with the religion of Vodou and will generally stick to the doll with pins and needles Very Happy

Vodouisants believe in a distant and unknowable creator god, Bondye and Bondye will play a big part in this game. Before each immunity challenge, Bondye will give one of you a chance to gain Lao powers. You will gain Bondye's trust by winning his challenge and then reap the rewards of The Lao.

The Vodouisants challenge: It will be a short challenge before each immunity challenge up until and including final 5. These challenges are meant to be quick so punctuality is of essence as they normally don't go on for more than 10-15 minutes. I ask that anyone participating in these challenge stay logged on and active after submitting answers. Decisions have to be made by the winner before we can start immunity and normally (the normallys here are because we did something similar with Survivor 47 Alcatraz), immunity started 10-15 minutes after this challenge ended. We don't want to take up all night doing challenges so we strive for ~Rapido Presto~.

The Lao Powers: Let me shed a bit of light on what is a Lao

Laos are the spirits of Haitian Vodou. They are also referred to as Mystères and the Invisibles, in which are intermediaries between Bondye (Bon Dieu, or good god)—the Creator, who is distant from the world—and humanity. Unlike saints or angels however, they are not simply prayed to, they are served. They are each distinct beings with their own personal likes and dislikes, distinct sacred rhythms, songs, dances, ritual symbols, and special modes of service. Contrary to popular belief, the loa are not deities in and of themselves; they are intermediaries for a distant Bondye.

Once you win the challenge and are given the Lao power, you take massive control over the game and you can do so in many ways. One of us will give you an ultimate choice, each with pros and cons. You will have mere minutes to pick how you control the game for that round and who it will affect. We give you a voodoo doll with a few needles, each needle has it's own power and you pick how you poke.

The powers offered will not change each time but you have to win one to see what they are. People who win are free to share the information with whom they want but the winner will never be revealed publicly.

***I assure everyone that confessionals will always remain private.***

Loa powers:

Rada Loa: The Rada Loa are generally the older, more beneficent spirits
Petro Loa: The Petro Loa are generally the more fiery, occasionally aggressive and warlike Loa
Kongo Loa: Often related to water the Kongo Loa is a Loa of plants, leaves, and poisons.
Ghede Loa: The Ghede are the spirits of the dead

Rada Loa: The Rada Loa are generally the older, more beneficent spirits With this power you will get elders rights and shake up the tribes. You will be responsible to re-organize the tribes. You can make 2 or 3 tribes but they have to be even. It's a reward to stack the tribes how you want them but can you make enemies that way or open the door to new power shifts/alliances in the game? Food for thoughts

Petro Loa: The Petro Loa are generally the more fiery, occasionally aggressive and warlike Loa With this power you will give your own tribe a huge advantage in the next challenge. It's a reward to have this advantage to help you and your tribe stay safe this upcoming TC but if you take this offer and your tribe still loses, you will go to TC with a penalty vote against you. Food for thoughts.

Kongo Loa: Often related to water the Kongo Loa is a Loa of plants, leaves, and poisons. With this power you will use your earthy roots and tap into some magic to take over the mind of another player. This player will be restricted from communicating with others and put in a separate section of the forum, alone. You will control their role in the game. You will submit answers for them in the immunity challenge and you will vote for them if their tribe goes to tribal council. It's rewarding to control two spots in the game but the player you control will have clues to an HII in his separate room. Food for thoughts

Ghede Loa: The Ghede are the spirits of the dead. With this power you will rise someone from the dead and bring back a player already voted out. By unleashing this power, the next tribal council will be a double elimination (not this one but the next). It's rewarding to bring back someone but you will also send your tribe to tribal council next vote to do so. Food for thoughts
